Ruppel Readies for Run at Championship
Chetek, WI ( May 7, 2008) – Eric Ruppel, driving his #837
PHILSINC.COM Art Carr Transmission BFGoodrich Tires Fords F-150, has
his sights set on the 2008 World Series of Off-Road Racing Stock
Truck Championship. In 2007, Ruppel won three races and finished the
overall season in third place.
“We
swept three of four rounds at Crandon and had solid finishes at
every venue,” remarked Ruppel. “The competition in this class is so
close, there’s no room for error. We got our suspension really
dialed in towards the end of the year and that really made a
difference. The last couple of years we have started the season
slowly and only to come on strong at the end of the year. The
suspension changes will allow the team to be competitive when the
green flag drops in Wheatland.”
The performance of Ruppel Motorsports on and off the track has
allowed the team to re-sign all of its supporters from 2007, and add
a few more. One of the newest supporters of the team is Beard Super
Seats. The suspension style race seat keeps Eric comfortable and at
the top of his game. The support from Phil’s Inc., Art Carr
Transmission, BFGoodrich Tires, and Optima Batteries keeps Ruppel
Motorsports well prepared when the Ford F-150 gets to the track.
The support crew of Kent Kramer and Mark Ewert will continue to
ensure that the race truck is ready for every round of racing at the
track and back at the shop.
The first weekend of racing in the World Series of Off-Road Racing
is May 31-June 1 in Wheatland, Missouri. The fast, yet technical,
suits Eric Ruppel’s driving style, so look for the blue and white
Ford on the podium when the season kicks off.
Ruppel Motorsports thanks all his supporters, including:
